Endangered Species Surveys

Thorough evaluations to support ecological integrity and community development.

Our Endangered Species Survey service helps determine whether federally listed species or their habitats may be present on a project site and whether additional coordination or permitting is required. Each survey begins with a review of species known or suspected to occur in the project area based on federal and state databases, habitat requirements, and regional occurrence records.

Field investigations focus on evaluating site conditions and habitat suitability for listed species, including vegetation communities, soil types, hydrology, canopy structure, and land management history. When appropriate, targeted field inspections are conducted to look for direct or indirect evidence of species presence, such as burrows, nests, roosting cavities, or suitable habitat features.

Following the site visit, a professional report is prepared documenting existing conditions, survey methods, and findings. The report includes a clear determination of potential effects to listed species and provides defensible documentation suitable for submittal to regulatory agencies and for use in environmental reviews. Our goal is to give clients clarity early in the project so risks can be managed, timelines protected, and compliance achieved with confidence.
