Wetland Delineation

Precise mapping and formal data collection, suitable for regulatory submission

Our wetland delineation service provides property owners, developers, and real estate professionals with a clear, defensible understanding of where wetlands occur on a site. Each project begins with a detailed desktop review of environmental data, including National Wetlands Inventory maps, NRCS soil surveys, topographic maps, and recent aerial imagery, to support efficient and accurate fieldwork planning.

Field investigations are conducted in accordance with the 1987 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual and the Atlantic and Gulf Coastal Plain Regional Supplement. On site, we identify and document wetland boundaries using the three-parameter approach—hydrophytic vegetation, hydric soils, and wetland hydrology. Wetland and upland transitions are clearly marked in the field to define jurisdictional limits.

After fieldwork is complete, wetland boundaries are surveyed using high-accuracy GPS equipment and processed in AutoCAD to produce a detailed site map showing wetland areas, sample locations, and property boundaries when available. Each delineation concludes with a comprehensive report that documents site conditions, methodology, and findings, providing clients with a professional product suitable for regulatory review and project planning.
